Animal Abuse is not good because a lot of animals are getting hurt. When they are put it pounds they are not really cared for. Most of the time when you have a pet you pamper it but a lot of people hurt them or beat them to death. A lot of people take advantage of the pets and use them as a accessories. Comment:I think that this book (Beneath a Meth Moon) is very important because it tells how drugs can affect your life. In the book, this girl named laurel was using drugs and her life was just torn apart. From that point she started being a rebel and hating her dad and she was even begging for some drugs. Her boyfriend is a drug dealer and a basketball player so then she went to see him not just to see him but to get some drugs from him and since she didn't have any money she was begging for it. She even broke her boyfriends tooth and half of hers. Those are only some of the effects that the drugs can have on you.

Children and teens do go to jail under drinking and\or drugs. I did some research on this on http:\\jjie.org\study-finds-commonalities-among-kids-jail\ and it said fourty-four percent of children doing crimes are under the unfluence of alcohol or drugs. This is almost half of children. They shouldn’t even be doing crimes at all! All the children are doing is killing themselves with alcohol and drugs. Everyone wants to live a happy, healthy life and this is just breaking them down. Osbaldo showed very good examples of what might happened to the kids if not crime. Comment:I read an article from Current Health magazine and I think the age to buy alcohol must stay the same but to make nicotine harder to get, I think the age to buy cigaretts should be raised. I do not think you should be able to get either in the gasoline stations. Comment: Some of the effects of drugs and alcohol include: alcohol poisoning, lung and mouth cancer. Also, overdose of drugs can kill anyone. Kids who are bullied want to feel good about themselves, so they start taking drugs. They “seek comfort” in them, and that makes them addicted and it could lead to health problems. There are too many people who die from this, so I think that certain drugs and alcohol should be banned and all alcohol and drugs should be banned from certain ages.

Comment:I read an article from Current Health magazine and I think that every state should have the law of only being allowed to drink alcohol if they are 21. It is not fair for some states to have that law and not others.If there was that law every where. It will probably make there be less driving accidents.

I think that teenagers and adults should stop smoking and drinking alcohol. You may not know but they are both drugs.I read that alcohol is very addicting. Once you're addicted you can have a risky behavior which makes you do bad things such as stealing. It also may cause alcohol poisoning which could threaten a person's life.I also read that nicotine is like smoking.It could give a bigger risk of getting lung, mouth and throught cancer. It affects your looks,too. You smell bad and your teeth and nails turn yellow.Gross!You will also shorten the time of breathing and is also highly addictive.

Comment: I read Nicotine And Alcohol: They're Drugs Too, I thought that it is wrong that teenagers are already drinking and taking drugs because slowly they are making their bodies worse than what they are already. By taking nicotine the teenagers are making their teeth and nails yellow and making their breath, hair, and clothes stinky which is bad enough. Last, nicotine is highly addictive which will make everything even worse. Alcohol makes teens take risks that they won’t normally take. Also by drinking too fast or drinking too much it can cause alcohol poisoning.

Comment: I’m commenting on a post Osbaldo L. from Agustin Lara Academy made.
Children and teens do go to jail under drinking and\or drugs. I did some research on this on http:\\jjie.org\study-finds-commonalities-among-kids-jail\ and it said fourty-four percent of children doing crimes are under the unfluence of alcohol or drugs. This is almost half of children. They shouldn’t even be doing crimes at all! All the children are doing is killing themselves with alcohol and drugs. Everyone wants to live a happy, healthy life and this is just breaking them down. Osbaldo showed very good examples of what might happened to the kids if not crime. For example they might get expelled from school, or be unsuccessful in life. In conclusion, I agree with you.

Comment:I read an article from Current Health magazine and I think the age to buy alcohol must stay the same but to make nicotine harder to get, I think the age to buy cigaretts should be raised. I do not think you should be able to get either in the gasoline stations. Alcohol in good use doesn't make you crazy (well it does but not that much) while nicotine causes cancer and bad odors like bad breath,smelly clothing and hair.

Comment:I read an article from Current Health kids magazine and I agree that kids its illegal for any kid to drink alcohol and the article’s facts that, “they’re drugs too”. Or to buy cigarettes all people should be 29 years old and up maybe 30 years old. Because people can go to jail because of alcohol and get cancer from cigarettes.

Comment:Drug abuse is a big problem today.I am reading this book call The Beast by Walter Dean Myers.In this book there is a girl named Gabi that is on drugs. There is a boy named Spoon who is in this good school. In the book Spoon came home for the holiday and met up with his girl friend Gabi. He soon found out she was on drugs. Spoon wanted to help her get off drugs. So he began to miss school and tried to help her. It was nice that Spoon wanted to help her, but he was jeopardizing his education and chance to get into a good college.

Comment:I agree with Karen G. because A big problem that we have as a society is smoking. This is a big problem because when people smoke not only are they damaging their bodies but other people around them as well. Also, when people smoke not only are they damaging their health but they are losing their money paying for the cigarettes and when they have to go to the doctor when they are getting their health checked unless they have health insurance. Another effect besides losing their money is while they are in the hospital they won’t be able to see their family as much as they used to since they’re in the hospital more than they are at home not only this but smoking leads to many deaths too.

Comment:Recently I have finished reading an article about drug abuse.Did you know that one ofthe most drugs use is pain pills? Many people die because they use the drugs for the wrong reason.also many parents kids are overdosing because they can’t get off of drugs or get help to get off drugs. Did you know that adderall is one of the go to drugs for college? Many of these kids get addicted to these drugs because they say it make them focus more and they say it make them smart. Also many of these kids have been addicted to these drugs and soon started failing school.

Comment: I agree with you, Litzy G. Alcohol can cause a lot of problems if not handled responsibly. When you said “If you drink too much you can end up tripping over your feet and other really stupid stuff.” What other stupid stuff occurs when you drink too much? What if you don’t drink as often, you drink every once in a while. Is it still not safe to drink?

Comment: Some of the effects of drugs and alcohol include: alcohol poisoning, lung and mouth cancer. Also, overdose of drugs can kill anyone. Kids who are bullied want to feel good about themselves, so they start taking drugs. They “seek comfort” in them, and that makes them addicted and it could lead to health problems. There are too many people who die from this, so I think that certain drugs and alcohol should be banned and all alcohol and drugs should be banned from certain ages.

Comment: Research says, “That many of the drugs are being manufactured in home labs with no quality control standards. This means at the very least, dose levels may vary from tablet to tablet, and additional harmful ingredients may be added.” Research also says, “ There is no way to predict how drugs will affect you. It depends on the chemistry of your body. According to the United States Drug Enforcement Administration, up to 75 percent of drug users become addicted.” From this I learned drugs can cause many problems mentally and physically, so you shouldn’t take drugs unless they were prescribed to you by a doctor.
